Whirlpool Ice Maker Leaking Water Inside Freezer

What i would do is put a cup of water in the ice maker and check it in 15 minutes to be sure its not constantly rotating.

Whirlpool ice maker leaking water inside freezer. Water leaks on the landing where the freezer fan motor is causing the water to freeze and build up. The water inlet valve opens to supply water to the dispenser and icemaker. When the water dispenser is used for a couple of minutes water starts to leak and drip from the ice maker into the ice tray freezer. Take a look inside your ice maker housing to identify the fill valve and fill cup.

The ice maker makes ice as normal and only leaks when the water dispenser is used. If the water inlet valve is cracked or has a loose fitting water will leak from the valve. If the water gets turned off to your home or your neighborhood water is going to start seeping into the freezer until the lines are empty or until the water gets turned back on. If they are not aligned the fill valve will pour unfrozen water directly into the ice maker compartment causing leaks before it has a chance to freeze.

I have an issue in the back of the freezer on the inside i believe where the water comes into the ice maker. My side by side frigidaire refrigerator is 12 years old and has recently started to leak water. A refrigerator that is leaking water has an issue somewhere within the defrost and dehumidifying mechanisms of the unit. Eventually it builds up enough to where the fan does not work properly.
